Artsy Tuesday - Jelly Beans

I introduce to you Angela from Jelly Beans on Etsy. She is a medical radiation technologist from Ontario, Canada. Along with science, Angela also loves painting and the benefits that come with it. Angela grew up on a farm in rural Ontario so a lot of her inspiration is, of course, from nature. Her favorite medium is watercolor, but she has also used acrylics and has started to use oil paints.

I love Angela's work. The trees are especially my favorite. They are so colorful and beautiful. I love that she gets her inspiration from nature, when she grew up in rural Ontario. My mom is from Quebec and my grandfather grew up on a farm just across the Ottawa River from Ontario {where he and my nanny built a house on the land later on} so I have quite a fondness and understanding of her work. It is absolutely beautiful in that part of Canada {well actually all of Canada is beautiful!}. The trees are beautiful and what a way Angela has shown it in her work. Beautiful! Here are some of the pieces I absolutely adore from her shop.

Aren't they so pretty? I think I need a tree for my wall gallery! I think the Bird Watching print is my fave! So go check out her shop and her sweet little blog

It's Turkey Day!

I wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! My boyfriend and I will be stuffing ourselves full of amazing food made by my mother over at my parents house today. My mom always cooks Thanksgiving dinner every year. It's a tradition in our family to gather together and enjoy the wonderful day. This year I am thankful for all the wonderful family, friends, and furbabies in my life. I am also thankful for my job, the things we have, and our good health. I love this time of year especially since I am a huge family person and get to spend a lot of time with them. I hope everyone has a wonderful day full of lots of love and thanks. So, again...

Check back tomorrow for another great Fave Friday post!

What's in My Makeup Drawers

About a year ago I got so tired of having my makeup and brushes jumbled up in a cosmetic case, never being able to find anything I needed when I needed it, that I decided to try and find some small drawers to organize it all in. I found a cute small set of three drawers from The Container Store, bought two and organized my makeup like a pro. I am really happy with the way it turned out and everything is now organized and easy to find. They are really durable. So I wanted to share with you my drawers, how their organized, and what's in them!

1. Dior Diorshow Mascara in Black {This is the best mascara ever! I have tried, it seems like a million and I always come back to this one. The wand is a little bigger than some, but it never clumps and it always looks so great on.}
2. MAC Sheer/Loose Powder in N25 {I don't like to wear foundation or face primer so I needed to find a powder that would stay on and look natural. This is it and it is so good for the price.}
3. MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer {I like this concealer. Its not greasy and it goes on smoothly.}
4. Dior Blush in Sunkissed Cinnamon and English Rose {I use the English Rose color as a blush and use the Sunkissed Cinnamon as a bronzer. Both colors are beautiful and they stay on well.}
5. MAC Prep + Prime Eye {This stuff is pretty good. Its better than most I have tried and stays on well, but it sometimes creases too much which is a pain. Overall though it is a good product.}
6. Yves Saint Laurent Creme Blush in 6 {This is stunning on. The color is a little bright at first which can be a little intimidating when you open it, but its beautiful on. A little goes a long way.}
7. Dior Eyeliner in Precious Violet and Precious Green {These are the best eyeliners I have ever used. They are so creamy and go on so easily. Both are stunning on.}
8. MAC Eye Pencil in Ebony {This is a good eye pencil. Not as good as the Dior, but it wears well.}
9. Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss in Flash 756 {This is beautiful on and makes your lips look shiny and fun. Its also very hydrating and doesn't dry out your lips.}
10. Dior 5-Colour Eye Palette in Sunset Cafe {This is my everyday palette. I absolutely love it. Its a great neutral palette and Dior eyeshadows last forever.}
11. Dior Designer Eye Palette in Green Design {I love this palette. Its so pretty on. I have green eyes and it goes really well with my eye color. I love pairing this with the green eyeliner.}
12. MAC Paint Pot in Quite Natural {I wear this occasionally. Its a great go to color for work. I also sometimes wear it under powder shadow too.}
13. Dior 2 Couleurs Eye Shadow in Purple Look {The Dior purple is gorgeous. It goes on so well and looks stunning with the purple eyeliner.}
14. Korres Lip Butter in Pomegranate {I use this everyday when I am going to work. Its very hydrating for your lips and looks pretty on.}
15. MAC Pro Longwear Lipstick in Prolong {This is my go out lipstick. I love this color. It is a very pretty red and looks great with everything. It wears well, but use a lip brush because if you put too much on it starts to bleed.}

I also have a bunch of Dior holiday eye and lip palettes I received as a gift from my good friend, Paige and they are also so fun and I use them all the time, but they are seasonal. On top of my drawers I have a pretty little glass cup with my brushes in it. Here are a few of the great brushes I use.

Can you tell that I love Dior and MAC makeup? I have always been happy with my purchases from both. They are both very reputable companies that make well made makeup and brushes. I would recommend them to anyone.

Artsy Tuesday - Studio Mela {Dazey Chic}

I introduce to you Shelli from Studio Mela {Dazey Chic} on Etsy. She is from Minnesota. Shelli describes herself as a girl with a huge heart, who loves painting, her husband and little baby boy. Being a new artist on canvas, she used to create websites and has been doing graphic design for awhile. Shelli's work incorporates a lot of words and quotes which she says she absolutely loves. She believes that art should be affordable and that everyone should have a piece in their home that makes them smile.

Shelli is absolutely adorable and her art is super cute. I love how she uses text in her art. I also love the fact that she believes that everyone should have a piece of art in their home that makes them smile {this is so sweet and I totally agree}. Her prints are beautiful and would look great anywhere in your place. A lot of her work is uplifting and motivational which I absolutely love. Well take a look at my favorites from her shop below and let me know which ones you love.

Isn't all of her work adorable? Go check out her shop and look at the many other pieces she has. Shelli also has a cute blog that is great to read. You know, Christmas is coming up soon and these would be great as gifts or even a great gift for yourself!
