Hooks for an Unconventional Entryway

So the boyfriend and I are a little unconventional when it comes to putting things up when we get home from work or wherever. We don't hang hats, coats, keys or purses on a hook or hooks by the front door. We usually toss everything on this small ledge we have next to our kitchen and by the stairs that lead to the second floor {this is also where the mail accumulates, but thats a whole other topic for a whole other day}. I've been desperately wanting to figure out a way to stop doing this because its starts to look like clutter after awhile. I think I want to put up some hooks on a narrow part of wall space we have right in front of the stairs since this is where the junk usually accumulates anyways. Which one do you like? Any help would be much appreciated! I'm kind of leaning more towards the schoolhouse numbered hooks {I'd get all three or maybe I need more}, but I'm once again being too indecisive. Any suggestions?
