A Sunday Wedding

My friend Jena's wedding that I was a bridesmaid in was this past Sunday (I think I mentioned it on Fridays post and I shared pictures from the bridal shower we threw her last month). It was a really small and simple wedding and once the day came it seemed to go by pretty fast. I believe she had invited about 100 people, but with the hurricane happening the week before and people trying to catch up on everything around here, in the end 50 people (give or take) actually showed up (which was actually really nice, not too big and not too small). She had a little peacock theme going on and we wore teal colored long dresses with a peacock feathered clip in our hair. The wedding cake and groom's cake were made by Sierra, the maid of honor who had also made the bridal shower cake and they both turned out pretty fantastic (she's very talented). The wedding and reception were very nice and the venue was beautiful. It actually used to be an old convent back in the late 1800's/early 1900's which later became a chapel in the mid 1900's and then was converted into a banquet hall in the 90's ( a lot of history there). I didn't get to take as many photos as I would have liked, but Ian made up for some of that while I was in the bridal sweet helping Jena and everyone get ready before the ceremony. So here are some pictures from the day.

Ian took this picture when we were going to take pictures out by the fountain with the photographer.

Ian took this picture of the groom and his groomsmen before the wedding. He was feeling fancy and ran it through instagram to make it black and white.

The ring bearer and flower girl. The ring bearer is Jena's five year old son and the flower girl is Sierra, the maid of honor's, 4 year old daughter. They are too cute when they get together.

Jena walking down the aisle with her dad.

The beautiful fountain in front of the hall. We took a lot of wedding photos with the photographer out here which was nice.

The flower girl, Lilli. She is super adorable.

Jena in the bridal sweet with her flower girl. Her dress was so pretty.

The beautiful bride. I think she was a little nervous at this point.

Sierra, the maid of honor and mother of Lilli. Oh, and the one that makes all the beautiful cakes.

Lilli girl! She loves to pose for pictures. Ps I loved that chair!

Jena being goofy.

Nicole, Me and Sierra, the bridesmaids. Not the best picture, but at least its one of me! I hate pictures of myself.

Jena and her new husband, David cutting the cake.

The beautiful wedding cake Sierra made.

The awesome groom's cake also made by Sierra.

All in all, it was a beautiful day and I'm glad to see Jena so happy and starting a new chapter in her life. I wish her all the best, and all the luck in the world! xoxo, Kayleigh.

All images were taken by me or Ian on an iPhone. By no means are they professional or were they taken by a photographer.
