All Hallow's Eve

We had a good time Saturday night at my friend Nicole's Halloween costume party. Her grandmother made a huge pot of delicious gumbo (I asked for the recipe, but she said 'grandma never makes it the same twice') and we had other food that was excellent. I made some deviled eggs which were a big hit. We, of course, drank most of the night and enjoyed everyone's costumes and goofiness. It was a great time! I diy'ed my Mary Poppins mini hat and huge navy tulle tutu then put together the rest with stuff I already had except for the bowtie which I bought online from a costume shop. Ian's Bert costume was put together with mostly things he already had except for his necktie and suspenders. Both costumes turned out really cute. I wish I would have taken more pictures of us, but we were too busy mingling and taking pictures of other peoples costumes. The picture above on the left is of my good friend Nicole and I. She went as a duck and her boyfriend went as Willie from the show Duck Dynasty. It was cute and hilarious. And, the the picture on the right is Ian and I acting goofy. Ian was in rare form that night and cracked everyone up with his suspenders. It was too funny.

Well I hate to see Halloween go since its my favorite holiday, but I guess there is no controlling it so it's on to the next one! Can you believe Thanksgiving is in 3 weeks!? I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween night. I will be staying home and watching the Halloween movie marathon on AMC (my favorite). I have one pumpkin left to carve so we'll do that and bake pumpkin seeds and wait to see if any kiddies come by. We usually have one small group that does. So again Happy Halloween! xoxo, Kayleigh
