Artsy Tuesday - Michele Maule

I introduce to you Michele from Michele Maule on Etsy. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her boston terrier and boyfriend. Michele has been making art for 10 years and received a degree in Drawing, Painting, and Print Making from Portland State University in 2005. She would one day love to become a full time artist. Other than Etsy, you can find her work in various shops throughout Portland such as Tilde, and Aster and Bee.

I absolutely adore Michele's art and especially the colors she uses. In particular, I love the pretty green you can find throughout her pieces! Her work would look great anywhere in your home. If you had a cool vintage typewriter collection then one of her fun typewriter prints would be perfect! I just love that for some reason her art screams Portland! Its so fantastic! So take a look at some of my favorites below.

Aren't they beautiful? I think my absolute favorite is the coffee print! I think I need to get it for my kitchen! It would look so good and go especially well over my little coffee station! Which one is your favorite from her shop

My 2012 Home Wish List

I wanted to share with you all some things from my home wish list of the moment. Some I have been wanting for forever and others have newly caught my eye. So without further adieu, here are some things off of my list!

Handpainted Layered Sunburst Mirror from Wisteria; Its so pretty and I would love it for my hallway to bring in some light.

Sloane Leaning Bookcase from Crate & Barrel; I think I want two of these to go on each side of my couch. Its always a struggle to find side tables because the sides of my couch are so high.

Luxury Plush Blanket from Restoration Hardware; I want it in ivory to go on my bed. I recently got the plush throw and it is super comfy and beautiful.

Mosaic Lumbar Toss Pillow from World Market; I want one to go on the couch. I have 4 pillows now that are the green and blue color in this pillow and I think all together, they would look fabulous!

White Leather Low Back Swivel Office Chair from Lamps Plus; I love this and desperately need an office chair. This would look so pretty and go well in my office/guest room!

Blakely Rustic Bench from Pottery Barn; I have been wanting the small, antique white one to go at the foot of my bed for forever! I think it would make the room!

Stainless-Steel Kitchen Gallery Ledge from Pottery Barn; I have wall room in between my stove top and microwave and I think this would be perfect to store some spices on. I am not particularly fond of those spice jars, but maybe a more traditional spice jar.

Alexis Ceramic Table Lamp Base from Pottery Barn; I really want one for each side of my bed. I have been looking for lamps and always go back to looking at this one!

Lacquer Jewelry Box from West Elm; I absolutely adore this jewelry box. I would love either the small or large one in silver.

Go-Cart Carbon Three-Shelf Table from CB2; Since I'm doing my office in yellow and grey this would be perfect to sit behind my desk and store my printer and paper supplies on.

For Like Ever Poster in Soft Grey from Super Rural; Ever since I started blogging earlier last year I have seen these everywhere in home tours. When I saw that Super Rural wasn't selling them at one point I was disappointed, but now that they have begun to sell them again, I need to snatch one up! I love the grey and it would go well with my yellow and grey office theme.

Clairemont Coffee Table from Crate & Barrel; I am a little sad that this coffee table is so expensive! With a $700 price tag I don't know if its worth it. I absolutely adore it though and would have to give it some real thought. Maybe I can find one similar at a much cheaper price.

Wall Caddy Shelf from Urban Outfitters; I need a couple for my nail polish. It would look so pretty in my bathroom.

Bedford Home Office Collection from Pottery Barn; I bought a desk from The Container Store last year and although it does the job its a little too wobbly for my taste. I love this desk and you can create your own layout. I thing I would just do a small desk with the 3 drawers like above and in Antique White.

Do you have a current home wish list? If so, whats on it? Hopefully I can get some stuff off this list sometime in the near future!

Closets turned Offices

Just think you have an extra closet that you don't know what to do with so why not turn it into a pretty organized office or work space? Across the web lately I have seen this done beautifully. If done right, you could definitely have an effective and creative work space! Take a look at some wonderfully done closets that I give 5 stars across the board.

How fun are they? It really is a smart thing to do! I wish I had the closet space, but around here I'm very limited {small condo = not so efficient space}! Don't you just want to go out and create one now?

Artsy Tuesday - Flourish Cafe

I introduce to you April from Flourish Cafe on Etsy. She is a wife and stay at home mother from Kentucky. April dreams about opening up her own cafe. She 'loves to cook and imagine a little downtown cafe with stacks of books, delicious food, and inspiring art on the wall'. Her theme is kitchen art and book quotes, and her art is inspired by her wanting of a cafe.

I love April's work! I think its absolutely adorable and fun. I like how she mostly uses muted or pastel colors in her pieces. Her work would look lovely in a kitchen, spread out or lined up together. I love that April found something she loved and created a business out of it. Its great that she finds the time while taking care of her family to share with people her passion through art. Take a look at some of my favorites from her shop.

Ahhh! I love the Alice in Wonderland and Jane Austen inspired pieces! I am a huge fan of both, especially Jane Austen! I think the Hello Love print needs to be included in my mini office gallery wall I am creating {I talked about it here}!! So go check out the other beautiful things in her shop.
