Mug Love

I don't know about you, but I love my coffee to be in a pretty or crazy fun, mug. Here are some mugs that fit that description and I would love to have in my kitchen!

From Left to Right

I really love those mugs from Anthro! Absolutely beautiful! I also started collecting the Starbucks city mugs because I love them so much. I have the New Orleans and Seattle ones so far and they are great! Do you have a favorite mug?

Artsy Tuesday - Jen Skelley

I introduce to you Jen from Jen Skelley on Etsy. She is an illustrator living in Massachusetts. Her illustrations have been advertised throughout New York for the Sweet N' Low campaign, as well as featured in coloring books and books such as The Handmade Marketplace by Kari Chapin and the American Girl 'The Cutest Nature Book Ever' {I used to love American Girl everything when I was young, just saying}. Jen has also done work for Hallmark, The Land of Nod, and Mattel.

I really adore Jen's work. I think it is super fun and whimsical. I love how she puts so much detail into her work and that it truely shows how great of an artist she really is. She is also married to an artist and I think that is so sweet. So check out some of my favorites from her shop below.

Isn't her work fun and colorful? I think it would bring great character to any space! I think my all time favorite is her Sproutski Limited Edition Print. It is absolutely beautiful and I love the detail of the birds feathers. Jen also has a great website where you can find more of her work and blog.

oh, Dior!

There is nothing more that tickles my fancy than Dior makeup. It's my absolute all time favorite and is what I mostly wear when it comes to eyeshadows, eyeliners, lip gloss, and blush. I can not tell you how much I recommend this line of makeup. It may cost a bit more than some makeup lines, but it works so well and lasts so long. They recently released their Garden Party Collection and it is nothing less than fabulous. Take a look at some products from the collection.

1. Garden Party Nail Polish;  2. Garden Clutch with Eyeshadow and Lip Gloss;  3. 5 Couleurs Garden Edition Eyeshadow Palette;  4. Rosy Glow Blush;  5. Lip Maximizer Lip Gloss

Have you ever tried Dior makeup? Do you love it like I do? If not you should try some! You can get a lot of their products from Sephora, as well as other places like Dillards, Bloomingdales, and Neiman Marcus.

Pic of the Week

Ian and I acting extremely goofy waiting for the restaurant we were going to eat at, for my youngest brother's birthday, to open. He turned the big 22! After a yummy meal of sushi and king cake I proceeded to tell him he was getting old. I know soooo old! Yea right! If you don't know what king cake is, its a cake shaped in the form of a huge ring. It is extra sugary and eaten during Mardi Gras. It also contains a hidden plastic baby in which whomever gets it in their piece traditionally has to buy the next king cake. It sometimes comes stuffed with cream cheese or other fillings. Its super yummy! Needless to say, no one got the baby yet. In essence, its a cake to honor the three kings, hence 'king' cake. Well we had a good time even though he wasn't feeling the best {theres something going around and I don't want it!}. I can't believe I have a 22 year old brother and soon to be 24 year old brother. Where in the world has the time gone? I feel like just yesterday I was still in high school and this year I am turning 26! Can life please slow down? Well, anyways hope you enjoyed the pic of the week!

Pinners Anonymous

So in addition to my regular weekly posts, that being Artsy Tuesdays, Pic of the Week and Fave Fridays, I think I am going to have a post every two weeks, on Wednesdays called 'Pinners Anonymous'. It will include some of my greatest and favorite pins from Pinterest over the course of two weeks, since I am regularly on there and pin something about every minute or so {an exaggeration, but it still feels like it sometimes}. Hope you like it and it becomes a regular routine post that you all come back to read every two weeks!

{This Elie Saab dress is absolutely stunning! I love the mint color, but I wonder what it would look like in ivory for a wedding?}

{This gold milk jug is from Dwell UK and it doesn't look like it is sold in the US! I wanted it so badly!}

{I absolutely love Seattle and love this print.}

{There is just something about this that screams wonderful! Oh, Pacific Northwest, how I love you!}

{This is a really cute dress. I love, again, the mint green color!}

{I would love for this to be my house! So fun!}

{I adore this print and totally agree with the saying!}

{That pillow is fabulous and I actually like it in that color!}

{This speaks for itself. Gorgeous pillows on a gorgeous couch? Enough said.}

{This is such a cute locket! Would be great as a gift to someone who loves to travel.}

{This cake is beautiful!}

{What a sweet mommy kitty! I love cats so much!}

{This would be so great to do. Maybe I can make some wall room in my kitchen?}

{What a beautiful kitchen and I love the tile!}

{Owls!}

Artsy Tuesday - Matte Art

I introduce to you Matte from Matte Stephens on Etsy. He is a 37 year old artist living in Peterborough, New Hampshire. Matte gets his inspiration from Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard and artists like Ben Shahn and Paul Klee. Matte has done many illustrations for Herman Miller, American Express, Chronicle Books, NPR, and Disney.

I absolutely adore Matte's work. I think it is so whimsical and fun. The colors he uses in his pieces are fantastic. You can tell he has a wide range of artistic ability. Some of his work would be great for a children's room or nursery, while others simply perfect for anyone's living area, such as in a wall gallery. Check out some of my favorites below.

Aren't they great? I think my absolute favorite is the Seattle Limited Edition print. It is amazing! I think I will definitely be adding it to my art collection soon. Matte has a great blog to check out also. So go take a look at his Etsy shop and tell me which one's your favorite!
