Pic of the Week

Well I had planned to throw a fun little party for my moms birthday/mother's day {it's on the same day} this year until she decided to be out of the country on it. Paris to be exact! I know, the nerve! Well instead of the little party, I was able to make one of her favorite things she loves most when she goes home to Canada, Canadian Butter Tarts. They turned out so yummy! One of my brothers, me and the boyfriend gave her money to go to Paris and we had these little tasty treats to semi-celebrate the occasion early. Of course, when she gets back we'll do something, but this was just something fun for before. If your interested, I got the recipe here.

Are You a Sandalista?

Over the weekend, the boyfriend and I hit up one of my favorite go to shopping spots. While shopping, I noticed a lot of women wearing cute sandals, not to mention stores selling a bunch. I really can't believe its almost May and its pretty much Summer down here so sandals have started to become a necessity. It also seems brands like Dolce Vita and Steve Madden have really started to price their sandals reasonably this year. You can get some really great sandals at really great prices right now and they make all kinds. I am personally not a huge fan of flip flops so a perfect strappy sandal, like the ones below, will sufice my yearning for Summer footwear.
