Okay, so my latest obsession (yes, I have quite a few of those) is cake stands. I know so exciting, right?Although I looooove a good cake stand, they aren't for everyone hence why I was being a little sarcastic. I think I got this weird yearning from my mother although she would never directly admit it. She too is a huge cake stand fanatic and has quite a few I must say! I don't know how she came to love them so much, but I'm sort of glad she does. Of course, most of hers are glass, antique and absolutely gorgeous and I'm, well, jealous. I LOVE cake stands and plates. I inherited a beautiful clear glass one from my grandmother, but am a big fan of milk glass and tinted milk glass too. There's something about them, isn't there?
I have a few clear ones my mom gave me also. And, I LOVE milk glass!! I've been starting to collect hobnail milk glass and recently came across a beautiful Fenton hobnail milk glass ruffled cake stand on Etsy that I am dying to get!
